Registration for Summer

summer students begin registration on

UNC
Charlotte students enrolled in courses in Spring 2008
do not need to apply to take summer courses. However,
visiting students enrolled in
spring 2008 courses will need to reapply to take summer courses.

Students seeking readmission
to UNC Charlotte degree programs should contact the
Registrar's Office.

Students seeking admission to pursue UNC Charlotte undergraduate degree
programs as new freshmen or transfer students
should contact the
Office of Undergraduate Admissions for information about
the application process.
Visiting Summer
Students
Do you go to another University or College? This information is
for you!
►
Summer visitors who already have a degree and are not enrolled in a
degree program
must print the
"post-bac" (Non-Degree) application and mail it in as
instructed on the application.
►
Summer
visitors who do not already have a degree and are not enrolled in degree programs
at UNC Charlotte MUST complete an
Online Application.
The
application fee is $50.00 and can be paid online in the form of a credit
card or debit card.
NOTE:
that this application is the same application that ALL students coming to
UNC Charlotte fill out, if you are just visiting for the summer you do
not need to fill out information about high school, or send high school
transcripts, only fill out the information that is relevant for you. See
below for more important information about transcripts.
NOTE:
Visiting student application deadline is up to 3 days (please see details
below) before classes start, however we recommend you apply at least 2 weeks
prior to classes starting.
Remember!! Many summer
courses will fill up. Please be sure to fill out the application early, for
Admissions will take about 2 weeks to process your application, once your
application is processed they will send you a letter with your username and
ID number and instructions on how to register for your classes.
Visiting Summer
Students
Do Not need to send a transcript with their application. Prior
to registering for your classes you MUST contact the department in which
your classes belong to see if they have any restrictions or prerequisites
for them. Some departments will require that you send a transcript directly
to them in order to allow you into a class. To get contact information for
departments please call the University Switchboard at 704-687-2000. Do not
send transcripts to Admissions.
If your class starts within
3 days...
Summer
visitors who decide to enroll in a class that starts within
the next 3 days should apply and pay the $50.00
application fee in-person to the Office of Undergraduate
Admissions (post-baccalaureate students should apply to the
Office of Graduate Admissions). Once you've been
admitted , the Admissions Office will assign you a PIN
(Personal Identification Number). You must have your PIN to
register for courses.
Students
taking courses to transfer to another institution should
be sure to follow the procedures of your "home"
institution to confirm the applicability of specific UNC
Charlotte summer session courses to your academic program.
Visiting students should also arrange to have a transcript
of their UNC Charlotte course work sent to their home institution
upon the completion of their Summer Session classes.
