GRNT 2124 – 001 (CRN#30680) Psychology of Adult Development
and Aging

Cross listed with PSYC 2124. Psychological development through
adulthood and old age. Emphasis on processes underlying
continuity and change in adulthood, including personality and
socialization, cognitive development and the psychophysiology of
aging.
GRNT 4050 – 001 (CRN# 40022) Long Term Care
Gibson
Almost all Americans are involved in receiving, locating or
providing long term care at some point in their lifetime. Long
Term Care is a variety of services that includes medical and
non-medical care for people who have a chronic illness or
disability. This course examines the wide variety of settings
where long term care is provided including at home, in the
community, in assisted living or in nursing homes, as well as
how this care is financed. The course also focuses on current
and emerging issues in long term care. Will be taught 100%
on-line asynchronous.

GRNT 6275 – 001 (CRN#30966) Health Promotion and Wellness for
Older Adults
Sipe
Self-care measures and health promotion practices to promote a
healthy lifestyle are discussed. Included are principles of
teaching and learning adapted to the elderly client needed by
health care and other professionals who teach and plan programs
for the older client. Common barriers to health care in the
elderly are examined.
